The actress, who has played Coronation Street’s Bethany Platt since 2015, has addressed whether her character will be “killed off” in the near future.
The 22-year-old said she had no plans to leave the long-running ITV drama after recently triumphing at the British Soap Awards 2018.
In this week’s issue of OK! Magazine, Lucy revealed how long she planned to stay in Corrie as well as all about her recent wins.
“As long as they’ll have me!” the soap star commented. “Hopefully they won’t kill me off, but you just don’t know – it could be six months and I’m gone.”
When asked about her awards, she said it still hadn’t “sunk in” and said her boyfriend Tom Leech was “buzzing”.
Lucy continued: “I’m really happy but it hasn’t sunk in yet, I’m still a bit delirious about it. I was so shocked, especially when I won Best Actress.
“It means so much. It’s nice to know your hard work has paid off and people believe you.”
On her beau’s reaction, she went on: “He was very proud. He wasn’t with me, though, which was sad because I didn’t get to give him a hug until later on.
“He’s super supportive and always there for me – I need to cry about my day sometimes! There’s definitely not talk of marriage, though, we’re not there yet.”
Lucy won for Best Actress and Best Female Dramatic Performance, while Coronation Street picked up Best British Soap.
Her co-star Jack P. Shepherd was announced the winner of Best Actor while Villain of the Year went to Pat Phelan’s Connor McIntyre.
Meanwhile, it comes just hours after Lucy gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what really goes on at Corrie on Instagram, which saw her reveal her colleague’s “high maintenance” ways.
She took an online video as she sat in the hair and make-up room.
Her shoulder and long blonde tresses could just be seen as she filmed her colleague Colson Smith in the mirror.
Lucy cheekily branded the Craig Tinker actor “high maintenance” as he held a personal fan up to his face.
The 19-year-old attempted to cool himself down as a crew member applied powder to his face at the same time.
Tagging him, the beauty was clearly joking about her co-star, who she is good pals with and who plays her on-screen on/off boyfriend.
After showing off her new nails, Lucy’s day took a turn for the worst when she suffered a wardrobe mishap.
Hopefully happening after she shot her latest scenes, she showed fans a rather large stain on her jeans in another upload.
