ITV This Morning: Holly Willoughby holds back tears as boy without voice ‘speaks’ on air | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Jonathan appeared on the This Morning sofa alongside his mother Chantal as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield interviewed the pair.

The schoolboy is unable to use verbal communication as a result of his disability and subsequently uses a spelling board to communicate.

Jonathan’s teacher appeared on the programme to demonstrate how he uses his eyes to spell out words.

After seeing Jonathan use the spelling board, Holly expressed just how amazing she found the system.

Putting her hand to her chest, she declared: “That’s incredible, that’s blown my mind. Thank you very much.”

It looked as though the 37-year-old was holding back some tears as she reflected on the special moment.

Meanwhile, those watching at home were also moved by the moment and took to Twitter to comment.

“Omg I’m so emotional now ..what a little superstar #thismorning,” one wrote.

While another declared: “This little boy is such an inspiration, incredibly clever using that spelling board, just shows disabilities can’t keep you from doing something you’ll always find a way #thismorning.”

A third added: “#thismorning how inspiring was that little boy. True hero.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
